The Sustainable Development Goals

The Shoal: bringing together the people you need

We bring together a diverse group of communication (and communication adjacent) freelancers and independent businesses to create and deliver communications that meet your goals.

"The Shoal" includes writers, graphic designers, brand strategists, website developers, translators, and creative artists.

A bespoke team

Every project, every business, every research endeavour, and every audience you want to reach is unique, which is why we will build a project team just for you. If you want to bring in a particular trusted partner who isn’t already part of The Shoal, we can accommodate that too.

Cost-effective

We work directly with freelancers and independent businesses, so there are no overhead expenses for things like office space for a big team. You’ll only pay what the work is valued at.

Simplified management

Working with external people and businesses is great, but working with three, four, eight, or more people for your project can get complicated. That’s why you’ll get a dedicated project manager who acts as a single point of contact.

You can decide how much or little involvement in the project management you want to have. If you want to speak directly with a member of the team that has been put together for your project, you can do that.

The project manager will also take care of all the administration - the contracts, invoices, and payments to those working on your project.
